Our Mission and Goal

Our mission is to spread God's love through His Word, through our words, through our works, and with His help. Our goal is to help people get through acute and chronic crises by introducing (or reminding) them of the Hope and Love Jesus offers.

´La Yaya´walks with us in Pamamus during one of our visits last month.

Latest News and Notes

Like most of the world around us, Guatemala and our mission face some truly unusual and unprecedented challenges.

Guatemala has done a great job so far holding the number of Covid-19 patients to a minimum.

Aggressive and early monitoring of travelers, testing, quarantines, and travel bans are holding up.

As of this writing, Guatemala verified a little more than 20 cases, with 4 recovered, one passed away. Hundreds are quarantined.

We know that any day those numbers can explode. The country has hospitals designated for patients as they continue monitoring.

Three of our guests from Spain are still here, unable to leave before travel restrictions went into effect.

We had a tremendous time with them all. God´s love was shared in abundance. There are photos below.

Our rural areas are doing well during the Corona event. As farmers and distributors, most are still working during the general furlough, and they will help their neighbors.

Our city mission is a different story. Many of our families are losing all or most of their income during this crisis.

We are unable to congregate and visiting is limited. Please see ¨This Month´s Focus¨ for more information on how we are trying to help.

Thankfully, JESUS IS AN ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEE!!!

He continues to be here for us all. And He always will be.

Please pray with us for... EVERYbody!

THIS MONTH'S FOCUS

FAMILY FOOD FUNDS

Guatemala maintains its vigilance in trying to prevent the Corona Virus from gaining a foothold.

Necessary social distancing and non-congregating rules are in effect.

We can not gather the children nor hold services or meetings.

Many of our families depend on their daily or weekly income to survive.

Yesenia has been in contact with many mothers and´ members of our womens ministry.

We already distributed all the donated food intended for the feeding program.

Rationing and shopper limits make it difficult to buy some things in bulk.

So, we are considering the distribution of cash in lieu of food to some of the neediest families.

Or more likely, some combination.

It is a fluid situation and can get better or worse quickly.

Either way, we can use some support to keep kids and their families fed and healthy during this crisis.

If you are fortunate enough to have extra funds in these challenging times, please consider sharing via our donor page.

THANK YOU!

Yesenia doing her thing at a La Cuchilla Bible class. 4. The children in Pamamus scurried to their classroom and presented the team with ´thank you hearts´ before we left one of our events there.
