Our Mission and Goal

Our mission is to spread God's love through His Word, through our words, through our works, and with His help. Our goal is to help people get through acute and chronic crises by introducing (or reminding) them of the Hope and Love Jesus offers.

Latest News and Notes

We head full steam into March with all our programs enjoying success.

The feeding program at La Cuchilla is full every day as the kids enjoy our updated menus and interactive lesson plans.

Our Women´s ministry is active in prayer and support for each other and the community.

There are worries in Pamamus regarding the effects of drought and threatened cutbacks in workforces, but the children are well and the teacher-administered feeding program is doing well.

Pastor Feliciano and the youth church in Cocales recently baptized a handful of followers and continues to thrive.

We are hosting a handful of visitors from Spain over the first two weeks of March.

They plan to introduce Spanish Rice and other foods to our kids in La Cuchilla and Santa Fe.

Our guests will also host an event in Pamamus and visit Cocales before heading back to Barcelona and the Hillsong Church.

Please join us in praying for their health and safety during their travels.

We are doing well overall, but as always, we can use a little help.

If you have the means to assist the missionary family or our projects, please visit our donation page with our humble thanks.

We also need plenty of prayers, so we appreciate your help there, too! God bless!

THIS MONTH'S FOCUS

SNEAKERS PROJECT 2019

We are collecting funds and resources to distribute brand new sneakers to as many children as possible this spring.

Back in 2018, we fell into an opportunity to buy sneakers at a tremendous discount after the manufacturer discontinued the style.

The same company that manufactures the boots for our "Boot Out Infections" projects supplied the footwear.

The emotional response to the sneakers from the children was so impactful, we decided to alternate boots and sneakers from then on.

We will pay about $15 per pair of new tennis shoes made in either Guatemala or Colombia this year.

Hopefully, we will secure enough funds to include new socks with each pair.

Last time we did sneakers, we only had enough funds to include our rural children and just the neediest of our city ministry.

We expect to collect enough funds to provide brand new footwear and socks to every child at every site... and dozens more.

In many cases, these new sneakers will replace worn and tattered shoes, sneakers, and sandals- often cut at the toes or heels to allow for the child's growth.

PLEASE HELP US BUY ALL OUR KIDS NEW SNEAKERS IN 2020!

TOP ROW: 1- Distributing food bags to volcano survivors in El Rodeo. 2. Some of the El Rodeo folks pose with our volunteers.  3. Two of our La Cuchilla kids pose with their gifts before receiving a traditional Christmas meal of tamales and ponche.  4. At each celebration, a presentation and prayer preceded events, like this one in La Cuchilla.

BOTTOM ROW: Pastor Avelino of La Cuchilla and Pastor Feliciano of Cocales were well enough to attend the Cocales Christmas event. Feliciano's son is to the left. He leads the youth church.

2. The kids in Cocales met us with a presentation of a skit and songs. 3. Study Bibles for adolescents and children's bible story books were personalized for each recipient.  4. We visited a group of single senior women in Amatitlan. Each received an overstuffed bag of Christmas treats on top of a supply of staples.

IN OUR HEARTS: Overwhelming moments at each site. Pamamus, La Isla, and other events not pictured. THANK YOU for helping us do this.
