CHRISTMAS PROJECT 2020

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

We wrapped up another successful celebration of the Good News of Christmas despite Covid-19 and all the other challenges 2020 threw at all of us.

Check out the photos to see how your donations blessed so many people this month!

People living in poverty are often left to take what they can get, with little choice. Our kids wear hand-me-downs or anything donated that kind-of fits. They eat whatever we serve without question. That's why we added to choice to the list of things we blessed our kids with this year. We set up a Christmas toy shop at each of our sites and let the children select the toy they wanted. A little thing that brought excitement and disbelief to many of them, and to their parents, too!

Over 125 food baskets and bags were distributed to families of our programs, as well as to families begging on the streets with white flags.

From top left: In Cocales, the tamales and a special meal for our workers were prepared on open, wood-burning cooking areas. Baskets went to families in need from outside our ministry, too. We set up a photo shop in Cocales. (Below) Our oldest elf- Pastor Avelino, Yesenia's father. Thanking God for our own blessings and the privilege of sharing with those less fortunate. We remember some of our seniors who didn't have kids to bring, too. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED US!

We hired local women to prepare tamales and other treats. Not only does it make things easier for us, but it also puts a few quetzals into the pockets of women who need it and increases community engagement for our organization. Hundreds of tamales, treat bags, and of course, toys were prepared and shared.
